About the Event
The trio led by Stuttgart jazz and pop singer Fola Dada comes together for a musical, jazzy Christmas journey. Together with jazz guitarist Daniel Stelter and Joo Kraus, who is known as a trumpeter and multi‐instrumentalist, they build a musical and thematic bridge from music to the moving themes of interpersonal encounters, love, and charity that accompany the Advent and Christmas season. The musicians interpret well‐known and lesser‐known Christmas and non‐Christmas songs from jazz, gospel, and pop, allowing the audience to hear them in a new way.
With her multifaceted voice and fearless depth, Fola Dada is accompanied by Daniel Stelter's virtuoso, delicate, and above all excellent guitar playing. Joo Kraus will enrich the sensual and atmospheric atmosphere with his trumpet playing. His range extends from alienated sounds to lyrical solos and completes the intimate concert experience. Here, the great world of jazz and that of the Christmas repertoire are presented in a unique light that will continue to shine for a long time to come.
Konzerthaus Berlin
The Konzerthaus Berlin is a concert hall situated on the Gendarmenmarkt, the most beautiful square in the city. Built in 1821, the structure initially served as a theater. Severely damaged in the Second World War, it was rebuilt as a concert hall in 1977, with a neoclassical interior, and changed its name to reflect its new function in 1994. Consistently numbered among the top five concert halls in the world, the Konzerthaus hosts around 500 performances every year, ranging from symphony and chamber concerts featuring international stars to new music and children's concerts.
