David Hermlin Trio: We Got Rhythm
Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin — Kleiner Saal
About the Event
A singer and drummer, a clarinetist, and a pianist. All three love American swing from the 1930s, and all three are virtuosos on their instruments. With its new program “We Got Rhythm,” the DAVID HERMLIN TRIO recalls the great combo lineups of the swing era, foremost among them, of course, the revolutionary Benny Goodman Trio with pianist Teddy Wilson and drummer Gene Krupa. The musicians around David Hermlin refrain from any attempt to copy their idols, instead developing their own lively style. Keep swingin'!
David Hermlin — vocals, drums
Lorenzo Baldasso — clarinet
Sascha Kommer — piano
