SALA PIATTI

The Sala Piatti is one of the most significant architectural landmarks in Bergamo Alta. Located within the Domus Magna complex—the historic home of the MIA Foundation (Misericordia Maggiore)—the hall pays tribute to the city’s musical heritage. Named after cellist Alfredo Piatti, it represents the union of historic preservation and artistic purpose.

Its interior is adorned with frescoes, decorative stuccowork and architectural details characteristic of historic Lombard residences. High ceilings and large windows create a solemn, luminous atmosphere. Yet the Sala Piatti’s most distinctive technical feature is its acoustics.
