About the Event
The Sant Pau Festival invites the Franz Schubert Philharmonia to the Palau de la Música Catalana with a program full of energy and emotion, conducted by Tomàs Grau and featuring the prestigious pianist Arsenii Moon as soloist.
The concert opens with Alexey Shor's Piano Concerto No. 1, a contemporary work of great expressive power that dialogues with the classical tradition. Next, Rachmaninoff's brilliant Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini offers a display of virtuosity and musical intensity.
The evening culminates with Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet suite, a work full of lyricism and drama that captivates from the very first bar.
