About the Event
MEAM invites you to dive into the lively 'unplugged' concerts of the Sunday Sounds series, showcasing an eclectic blend of musical styles, including indie, flamenco fusion, tango, and pop. Set off on a unique sonic journey where, consistent with MEAM’s tradition, music harmoniously integrates with art and history.
This project brings together the warm voice of Rocío Faks and the virtuosic piano of Manu Contreras, creating a unique proposal that blends original compositions with their own arrangements of Brazilian songs and Latin American classics, all tinged with the nuances of jazz.
Rocío contributes her personal perspective through original songs, while Manu adds his distinctive touch on the piano, weaving harmonic complexity and a unique sensitivity into each piece. Their interpretations of Brazilian and Latin American tunes are given a fresh perspective, with new arrangements and an improvisational spirit that make each version a vibrant experience for both listeners and music programmers.
The result is an organic fusion of tradition and modernity — a sonic journey full of emotion and sophistication, ideal for those seeking a musical offering that honors its roots while daring to innovate.
