MEAM invites you to dive into the lively 'unplugged' concerts of the Sunday Sounds series, showcasing an eclectic blend of musical styles, including indie, flamenco fusion, tango, and pop. Set off on a unique sonic journey where, consistent with MEAM’s tradition, music harmoniously integrates with art and history.
Laura Marchal's musical universe encompasses a wide range of influences that stem from flamenco and extend through folk music, copla, Andalusian song, and later explorations into jazz, Latin American‐influenced music, singer‐songwriter traditions, among others. All these styles inspire her to develop her songwriting and compose her own music.
In her recently released album La Semilla del Encanto, Laura embraces, on the one hand, the risk and spontaneity of live flamenco performance, and on the other, a more personal journey through songs that evoke atmospheres shaped by a wide variety of musical influences. These songs reflect the imagination and expressive needs of a deeply rooted artist with creative freedom, who sings to her homeland and the world around her in an incredible emotional journey.
