Barcelona, Gran Teatre del Liceu — Sala Principal
About the Event
For opera enthusiasts, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona promises an unforgettable evening with Anna Netrebko, Brian Jagde and George Petean.
The Gran Teatre del Liceu fills with anticipation with the arrival of Anna Netrebko, one of the most iconic sopranos of our era. Accompanied by tenor Brian Jagde and baritone George Petean, Netrebko is recognized for her extraordinary technique, a brilliant timbre, and an ability to naturally command any repertoire. Netrebko turns each recital into an event of exceptional emotional intensity.
Her stage presence, full of charisma and elegance, transforms each aria into a living narrative in which music intertwines with life and emotion.
For his part, Brian Jagde, a spinto tenor, radiates a luminous and robust timbre that naturally fills the space. Each of his phrases reveals an artist capable of combining vocal heroism with a deeply emotive interpretative sensitivity. Baritone George Petean, established as one of the most noble and refined voices in the contemporary Verdi repertoire and a dramatic authority with admirable balance, will offer a performance of great vocal intensity. The concert program, accompanied by the theatre orchestra, features emblematic excerpts from the Italian repertoire, with emphasis on Verdi, Puccini, and the great masters of bel canto.
