About the Event
Off the podium and onto the piano: star conductor Yannick Nézet‐Séguin never misses an opportunity at the summer festival to sit down at the piano with his friends and simply make music together. But what does “just” mean here? The selected pieces are top‐class and demand a great deal of virtuosity from pianist Nézet‐Séguin. Nevertheless, the joy that everyone experiences reliably spreads to the audience. And there is often room for spontaneous interludes and surprises born of whim.
