About the Event
How on earth do the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra do it? The orchestra from a medium‐sized Franconian city is considered one of the best in the world. The “Bambergers” combine a sense of musical tradition honed over decades with a knack for discovering highly talented young conductors: The Czech Jakub Hrůša, the orchestra’s principal conductor, is a stroke of luck—as is the Italian master pianist Beatrice Rana, who will perform Tchaikovsky’s popular Piano Concerto No. 1.
