About the Event
In chamber music, it all starts with choosing the right partners. For the Amelio Trio, the connection came about rather by chance: In 2012, Johanna Schubert, Merle Geißler, and Philipp Kirchner came together for “Jugend musiziert.” At the time, they were just teenagers. This partnership of convenience turned out to be a stroke of luck. They have now been playing together for more than half their lives and captivate audiences with their almost telepathic interplay. A second‐place finish at the 2023 ARD Music Competition and their victory at the 2024 German Music Competition paved the way to Europe’s major concert halls.
