About the Event
The Federal Youth Orchestra juxtaposes two iconic works of the modern era: Arvo Pärt’s “Fratres,” a meditative ritual that, like all of this composer’s music, immediately captures the listener’s attention, and Shostakovich’s Fifth Symphony, whose mounting tension culminates in a finale whose power artfully oscillates between conformity and veiled criticism. Two impressive works that provide the perfect conclusion to the 2027 Easter Festival.
