Guitar and Flamenco Night at Palau de la Música
Barcelona, Palau de la Música Catalana — Main Hall
About the Event
On December 31, say goodbye to the year with an unforgettable night as the flamenco guitar takes center stage, accompanied by singing and dancing that embody the purest essence of flamenco. This show is a result of major flamenco promoters in Barcelona joining forces, combining their experience and passion to create a magical night full of duende.
Unlike some tablaos, at Gran Gala Flamenco, spectators enjoy breathtaking choreography from the most acclaimed companies in the current Catalan and Spanish dance scene. It is the only flamenco show hosted in two of the city's most iconic theaters: El Palau de la Música Catalana (a UNESCO World Heritage site seating 1900) and El Poliorama, located on the first floor of Barcelona’s Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts (seating 700). The Artistic Director is the celebrated guitarist, Juan Gomez Chicuelo, known for accompanying famed artists such as Enrique Morente, Miguel Poveda, and Duquenque or El Cigala.
