Folk Seasons: Clärchen's Sunday concerts in the Mirror Hall
B‐Mitte, Clärchens Ballhaus — Spiegelsaal
About the Event
Nestled in the vibrant heart of the german capital, embark on an auditory adventure at one of the capital's legendary locations. The Hall of Mirrors at Clärchens Ballhaus, with its lofty ceilings and gleaming walls, captivates with a distinct patina. Noted for its superb acoustics, it stands as a top concert venue.
Sergey Malov is one of the most versatile virtuosos of his generation. He is equally adept at playing the violin, viola, Baroque violin, and violoncello da spalla, and is constantly on the lookout for new musical perspectives. With curiosity and an exploratory spirit, he reexamines the familiar repertoire, uncovers hidden connections, and sheds new light on both the familiar and the unfamiliar.
Together with his duo partner, the equally virtuoso Bajan accordionist Valentin Butt, he presents an exceptionally exciting program that combines the themes of the seasons and folk music in an original way. In the process, different soundscapes, traditions, and eras come together and merge into a concert experience that is as surprising as it is fascinating.
