About the Event
In Nieuwe Blik Terug, musician, presenter, and documentary maker Orville Breeveld highlights composers and musicians who have been unfairly forgotten. This edition of Nieuwe Blik Terug (New Perspective) centers on Surinamese composers, giving special attention to Baithak Gana, a musical genre that thrived within the Hindustani community in Suriname.
