This season, De Waalse Kerk and The Jewish Music Concerts proudly present Jewish Music Concerts Series. This concert series provides a platform for Jewish musicians and music. Jewish Jazz has evolved into a powerful genre within the jazz world. Jazz is inherently a melting pot of influences and cultures, and for Jewish musicians, it serves as a beautiful way to express their identity and roots.

About Joy Shechter
Joy Shechter (1996) is a pianist and composer based in Amsterdam. After obtaining his degree in Film Composition from Berklee College of Music, he found his creative path in Amsterdam's vibrant scene of jazz and improvised music. He completed a master's degree in Jazz Performance at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam and has been contributing to the city's musical ecosystem ever since, both as a leader and as a sideman.
Practical Information
The Bösendorfer Series is a series of intimate piano recitals in which nine top pianists shine behind our Bösendorfer Imperial Grand grand piano. The Bösendorfer Series is made possible in part by Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam.
