The Netherlands Chamber Orchestra
Established in 1955, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra boasts a rich history filled with notable accomplishments. Even following its 1985 merger with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the ensemble maintained its distinct identity. The orchestra's dynamics are particularly impressive, as they seldom play under a conductor's baton, relying instead on their almost instinctual interaction. This remarkable chemistry is evident in every performance. Gordan Nikolić has served as the leader, or ‘concertmaster,’ of the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra since 2004.
