The Bösendorfer Piano Series is a series of intimate piano recitals in which nine top pianists shine behind our Bösendorfer Imperial Grand grand piano.
Kashpurin opens his recital with Haydn's Die sieben letzten Worte unseres Erlösers am Kreuze, a poignant musical meditation on the seven last sayings of Jesus on the cross. The work consists of an introduction, seven sonatas and a concluding Terremoto, which depicts the earthquake after Jesus' death. After intermission, the mood turns and it promises to be fireworks with Rachmaninov's Études‐Tableaux — a cycle in which the composer explores all possible sonorities of the piano and invites us to see diverse genre scenes before us.
