Each year, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra presents the timeless Passion music of Bach. This season, they join forces with their esteemed partner, Cappella Amsterdam, and maestro Daniel Reuss to bring the St Matthew Passion to life.

The Netherlands Chamber Orchestra
Founded in 1955, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra boasts a rich history of impressive milestones. Despite merging with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra in 1985, the ensemble has maintained its distinct character. The synergy among orchestra members is particularly noteworthy, as they rarely perform under a traditional conductor, relying instead on an almost instinctual interaction. Their performances are imbued with extraordinary chemistry. Since 2004, Gordan Nikolić has served as the leader, or ‘concertmaster’, of this renowned orchestra.
