Het Muziektheater is the theatre of residence for De Nederlandse Opera (The Netherlands Opera)and Het Nationale Ballet (the Dutch National Ballet). This means they do not just present their Amsterdam performances here, but they also produce them at Het Muziektheater. Gastprogrammering (the guest programming organisation of Het Muziektheater) invites companies and productions from around the world. Het Muziektheater is also the home base for the Holland Symfonia.
