About the Event
Enrich your holiday celebration with the lilting melodies of Johann Strauss in the very house where the 'Waltz King' himself once performed. Favorite music by Johann Strauss and W.A. Mozart fill the elegant Lanner Hall of Vienna's Kursalon in this special Christmas concert.
The Salonorchester Alt Wien, one of the best‐known interpreters of classical Viennese music, presents an evening full of Viennese charm with the lilting sound of Vienna's classical music as a living firework display for all the senses. The musical make‐up of the Salon Orchestra enables it to play without a conductor, and nevertheless to do complete justice to the symphonic fullness of the music. The way that the musicians listen to each other's playing and the constant musical dialogue generate a cheerful energy that is transmitted directly to the audience. This special style of music‐making goes right back to the days of Johann Strauss, who led his orchestra from the position of the first violin.
This event can optionally be booked with an exquisite 4‐course menu.
The ticket category VIP includes a reserved VIP seat, a glass of sparkling wine in the concert interval, a Johann Strauss CD and a concert program booklet.
We recommend that ladies dress full‐length evening attire, while gentlemen should wear formal wear, black tie or traditional gala attire.
