About the Event

On YouTube, you can watch a film of French star cellist Gautier Capuçon practising Rachmaninov's Cello Sonata with young musicians — a masterpiece that is also the focus of the current concert. Capuçon's tips reveal a deep knowledge of the piece, whose composer is one of the great melancholics of the 20th century. A sonata to melt away to: Alongside Capuçon, Jérôme Ducros shines as his piano partner.

Program

  • Robert Schumann – Fantasiestücke a‐Moll op. 73
  • Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff – Sonata op. 19 für Violoncello und Klavier g‐Moll
Program is subject to change
