In 1722, Johann Sebastian Bach compiled 24 pieces into Das Wohltemperierte Klavier. With 24 pairs of a free prelude and a strict fugue, he runs through the 24 keys in major and minor. Julien Libeer celebrates the three‐hundredth anniversary of this piece of art in an original way. On the album Bach & Beyond A Well‐Tempered Conversation, he alternates the major couplets with minor music by composers influenced by Bach. This Thursday, he brings this extraordinary program to the Walloon Church.
A welcome guest on international stages from Madrid to Tokyo, Julien Libeer also initiates many projects based on the idea that the power of music brings about social change.
