About the Event

Experience the exquisite beauty of classical compositions by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Aram Khachaturian in the highly‐anticipated concert held at Milan's prestigious Auditorium Fondazione Cariplo. Delight in the melodic sounds that will transport you to a realm of musical brilliance.

In 1865, Nikolai Rubinstein invited Peter Ilych to Moscow to teach harmony at the Conservatory. However, when Tchaikovsky presented his First Piano Concerto to Rubinstein in 1875, seeking approval and guidance, his response was one of uncompromising condemnation. Undeterred, Tchaikovsky withdrew the dedication and entrusted the concerto to Hans von Bülow, who gladly included it in his repertoire. The concerto made its dazzling New York debut in the same year.

In the second part of the program, revel in the powerful music from the ballet Spartacus composed by Aram Khachaturian. This iconic work, created in 1954, captivates audiences with its emotive and dynamic compositions. Prepare to be transported into the world of Spartacus and witness the enthralling tale unfold through Khachaturian's magnificent score.
