Klaus Florian Vogt

Tenor

German tenor Klaus Florian Vogt ranks as one his generation’s preeminent interpreters of Richard Wagner’s great operatic works. Born in Schleswig-Holstein, Vogt started his career as a horn player with the Hamburg Philharmonic before turning to his true passion: the human voice. Following a stint at the Lübeck Academy of Music and the Landestheater in Flensburg, he moved to Dresden where he promptly landed a succession of parts that established his reputation. With an impressive range, Vogt has played roles in works by composers as diverse as Wagner, Mozart, Strauss, and Mahler.
