Tomasz Tomaszewski who was born in Czechowice/Poland, studied at the Warsaw university for music with Prof.Wronski. After graduating with honours, he continued his studies at the conservatoire of Leningrad (Sant Petersburg) with Professor Gutnikov, as well as in Freiburg with Professor Marschner and attended master classes with Druzhnin, Krysa, Fournier, Liebermann, Hiller and Szerny.
With the Polish String Quartet he made concert journeys through Europe and Australia. As soloist of the Polish Chamber Orchestra he played in several countries.
Tomasz Tomaszewski, has received numerous prices in international competitions, Since 1982 he has been first concert master of the orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and from 1983 held a teaching post at the University of the Arts in Berlin.
Tomaszewski is founder and conductor of the Kammersolisten der Deutschen Oper Berlin Chamber Orchestra , which has been engaged in intensive concert activity since 1988. In the same year he was appointed to lead the music summer courses supported by the Polish cultural Ministry in Glucholazy. As soloist in many countries of Europe, in Japan, China and the USA he has made numerous broadcast recordings and CD’s. In 2001 he became Professor at the University of the Arts, Berlin.
