Timothée Marcel
Cello
One of the youngest cellists ever accepted by France's premier conservatoire, Timothée Marcel is a repeat guest in Santa Fe, where he made his recital debut to great acclaim. Playing with the Orchestre National de France and the Orchestre de l'Opéra National de Paris, he also performs regularly at a wide range of national and international concert halls and festivals. Marcel has an enduring passion for collaboration with other artists and across genres; he recently performed excerpts from Bach's cello suites with the New Mexico dance company 'Two Women Dancing', and can be heard playing these works in their entirety in Paris' Saint Ephrem Church.
