Nova Philharmonic Orchestra

Orchestra

The Nova Philharmonic is rapidly emerging as one of the most exciting ensembles in the New York City music world. This inspiring young orchestra, founded by their visionary Music Director and Conductor Dong‐Hyun Kim, regularly performs the masterworks of the symphonic repertoire while working with some of classical music's most noteworthy soloists. Orchestral highlights exhibiting the range of their stylistic expertise include Beethoven's Choral Fantasy, Mozart's final two symphonies, Bach's Concerto for Violin and Oboe, Stravinsky's Firebird Suite and Copland's Appalachian Spring.

As well as their artistic accomplishments, the Nova Philharmonic has a genuine interest in philanthropic activities. Following the Fukishima nuclear disaster, they performed the Japan Disaster Relief Concert to benefit the victims of this unfortunate historical event. In addition, the orchestra donates a portion of every concert's tickets to schools, senior centers and local facilities in order to artistically contribute to local communities.
