The resident ensemble of the Mozart House in Vienna, the Mozart Ensemble Wien has established itself as a fixture in the city's musical life. Performing over 200 times a year in the Sala Terrena, a Baroque jewel, and Vienna's oldest (late 12th Century) concert hall, the ensemble evokes the spirit of the great composer, who played there during the earliest days of his tenure in Vienna, in 1781. Formed of four players, whose combined experience incorporates many of Europe's greatest orchestras and several of the world's most famous venues, the Mozart Ensemble Wien embraces their namesake's zest for life and passion for music, to the delight of audiences from all over the globe.
