The Finnish most famous guitar player Timo Korhonen performance can be characterised by a clear, strong sound of his instrument that carries a full palette of nuances. He has performed in more than 30 countries and at many festivals: the Berlin Festival, Festival Atempo Caracas, Ars Musica Brussels, Ojai Festival Californa, Hong‐Kong Chopin Festival, Schleswig‐Holstein Festival, Havana festival and others. He has performed over 40 premieres with Esa‐Pekka Salonen, Leif Segerstam, Jukka‐Pekka Saraste, Sakari Oramo, Joseph Swensen, Tuomas Ollila and Osmo Vänskä. He is the artistic director of the Finnish Guitar Festival and a professor at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatoire in Florence — his students have won more than 40 prizes at different international competitions. He regularly records for the record label Ondine.
