The Finnish most famous guitar player Timo Korhonen performance can be characterised by a clear, strong sound of his instrument that carries a full palette of nuances. He has performed in more than 30 countries and at many festivals: the Berlin Festival, Festival Atempo Caracas, Ars Musica Brussels, Ojai Festival Californa, Hong-Kong Chopin Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Havana festival and others. He has performed over 40 premieres with Esa-Pekka Salonen, Leif Segerstam, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Sakari Oramo, Joseph Swensen, Tuomas Ollila and Osmo Vänskä. He is the artistic director of the Finnish Guitar Festival and a professor at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatoire in Florence - his students have won more than 40 prizes at different international competitions. He regularly records for the record label Ondine.
