Chinese soprano Hui He won Placido Domingo's Operalia Competition in 2000 and since then has taken the international opera scene by storm. She performs regularly in many of the world's leading opera houses, both in Europe and Asia. Highlights include Cio‐Cio‐San at the Opera Bastille in Paris, Tosca at La Scala and the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, Aida at the Metropolitan Opera New York, and her debut as La Gioconda at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
