Sabina Chukurova

Soloist, Harpsichord

Sabina Chukurova was born in Dushanbe/Tajikistan in 1981 and has lived in Berlin since 1992. She was a young student at the Julius Stern Institute and studied piano with Georg Sava at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music from 2001‐2006. With the Julius Stern Trio, founded in 1996, she won 3rd prize at the chamber music competition 'Vittorio Gui' in Florence in 2004 2005 — - 2nd prize at the chamber music competition 'Trio di Trieste' in Trieste 2005… 2005‐2008 she studied with the Trio at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg with Prof. Niklas Schmidt. Out of a growing interest in early music she turned to the harpsichord and studied it with Mitzi Meyerson at the UdK Berlin in 2009‐2014. She completed her studies with a concert exam. She lives as a freelance harpsichordist in Berlin and dedicates her concert activities to solo and chamber music literature of the 16th‐18th century.
