Recently announced as the 2014 Victoires de la Musique ‘Révélation Soliste Instrumental’ , French violist Adrien La Marca began his musical studies at a young age in Aix‐en‐Provence. In 2005 he entered the Paris Conservatoire, where he studied with Jean Sulem and went on to graduate with the highest honours. That same year, he won First Prize at the French National Young Violists Competition.
In 2008, he was invited to take part in Seiji Ozawa's International Music Academy in Switzerland. He currently studies in Berlin with Tabea Zimmermann.
An active soloist since 2004, Adrien La Marca has performed at the Auditorium du Musée d'Orsay, the Grand Salon des Invalides, the National Portrait Gallery in London and made his debut at the Cité de la Musique with the William Walton concerto.
