Angela Hewitt: Great Performers at Bologna Festival
About the Event
Enjoy great performers at Bologna Festival.
Angela Hewitt, a Canadian pianist and Glenn Gould's ideal heir, over exactly 20 years, between 1994 and 2014, recorded all the keyboard works of Johann Sebastian Bach. And between 2007 and 2008, he performed the Well‐Tempered Clavier in 21 different countries scattered across six continents. Two monumental feats that testify to the desire to possess a broad, comprehensive, 'total' look at a composer's work. An irrepressible aptitude that prompted her last year to undertake the challenge of the complete recording of Mozart's Piano Sonatas. It is no coincidence that Bach, Mozart and her beloved Scarlatti are the three 'absolute' summits of her Bologna recital.
