About the Event

Whether it's a smiley cat without a body - the Cheshire Cat - a mad hatter or an evil queen of hearts, Lewis Carroll's adventure story 'Alice in Wonderland' is full of fantastic and whimsical creatures and has long been one of the most popular stories in the children's room.

It all begins with the White Rabbit: Alice follows him through a rabbit hole and ends up in a wonderful world full of strange figures and absurd situations. In a short time, he joins a strange tea party and plays croquet with the Queen of Hearts, but the biggest mystery is Alice herself. As she bravely faces the challenges of Wonderland, she is forced to answer the question, 'Who am I in this world?'

'You'll always get somewhere, if you walk far enough.' The Cheshire cat said so, but it might well have been the words of Lewis Carroll himself, a man who was tireless in his professional life. The story, conceived by eccentric mathematics professor Charles Lutwidge Dodgson on a boat trip down the Thames to entertain Alice Liddell and her 10-year-old sisters and published in 1865 under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll, takes its readers into a meaningless world in which the laws of language and logic are abolished and which to this day inspires not only children to dream.
