Advent Sounds of the Salzkammergut

About the Event

On the 1st weekend of Advent at 8 p.m. Austrian mountain air will once again penetrate Berlin when atmospheric, fairytale sounds from the snow‐covered Salzkammergut will be heard in the French Cathedral on the Gendarmenmarkt.
Under the direction of music school teacher Christian Krenslehner, genuine folk music from the Alps will be performed and wonderful Advent magic will be spread. You can hear the famous 'devotional yodel' by Tobias Reiser as well as different tunes: 'The stars in the sky, they shine so brightly' (Franz Koringer) 'Is finsta draußt is kalt und staad' (Kurt Muthspiel).
