Hear "the best opera Verdi never wrote".

The Verdi Concert Choir Japan and concductor Chosei Komatsu have flown across the world to join the Nordwestdetusche Philharmonie for this performance of Verdi's sacred masterpiece.

Like so many composers, the setting of the Requiem Mass is a high point of their compositional output. Verdi's setting contains the beautiful vocal writing one would expect from the composer of some of the world's most famous operas, as well as grand choruses: who could forget the mighty Dies irae, featuring a giant bass drum?
