In Seville, Rosina is being kept from prying eyes in the house of her guardian Bartolo. Because the young lady is beautiful and wealthy, Bartolo intends to marry her. But Rosina has another admirer: a student by the name of Lindoro has secretly been courting her for some time, and she finds the young man considerably more attractive than her guardian…
This production, by the fun‐loving duo Leiser and Caurier, is conducted by Early Music expert René Jacobs, who brings his Freiburger Barockorchester to Vienna for the production, and is sure to delight fans of Jacobs, Rossini, opera, or even just plain fun!

My mother and I enjoyed this beautifully different opera. You could feel how popular Theater an der Wien is with local residents. Good to get under the skin of Vienna and join locals at an opera evening!
