Mendelssohn's oratorios are directly inspired by Bach's large‐scale choral works, and both contain a mixture of beautiful solos and grand choruses.

The choir's musical director Jörg‐Peter Weigle conducts, accompanied by the Konzerthausorchester Berlin.
