About the event
Enjoy a Christmas and New Years concert with the Danube Chamber Orchestra playing works by Strauss, Monti, Brahms and Erkel. After the concert, you are invited to a cruise trip with a delicious dinner of traditional Hungarian and European style food.The programme was especially arranged for the festivities of Christmas 2008 and New Year and presented at the neobaroque theatre of the Danube Palace in Budapest. The Danube Chamber Orchestra is conducted by Zoltán Kökényessy (chief conductor) and plays a diverse programme of classical music, including well-known and popular works.
On the cruise, you will enjoy the romantic atmosphere of Budapest and an excellent warm dinner buffet, surrounded by the illumination of the Danube metropolis. With romantic candle light you can celebrate a wonderful night in Budapest.
Hostesses will accompany you to the ship landing stage, after the concert. The journey lasts ca. 1,5 hour long, and the ships are equipped with air-conditioning.
