Dresda
Dresda (in tedesco Dresden) è una città di 506.337 abitanti della Germania. Sorge sul fiume Elba, la cui valle (un tratto di 20 chilometri che attraversa la città) è stata dichiarata Patrimonio dell'umanità dall'UNESCO.
La città è nota per aver subito uno dei più terribili bombardamenti della storia dell'umanità, avvenuto il 14 febbraio 1945. Il bombardamento è stato ed è pesantemente contestato ed è ritenuto un crimine di guerra perché Dresda, famosa come città d'arte, era priva di installazioni militari e non era un obiettivo il cui interesse strategico giustificasse una tale azione.
