L'Islanda è nuova membro della prestigiosa European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO). E così la Harpa Concert Hall di Reykjavík ha nominato il soprano Álfheiður Erla Guðmundsdóttir come "ECHO Rising Star". La giovane cantante, che lavora anche come fotografa e videoartista, ha completato i suoi studi presso l'Accademia di musica Hanns Eisler di Berlino ed è ora solista nell'ensemble del Theater Basel.
