Stefania Neonato (fortepiano) plays works of Beethoven, Liszt, Schubert, Schumann, and Chopin.

Whether Schumann’s "Dreaming" really did just come to him or was the result of the subtlest construction was a point of argument for Hans Pfitzner and Alban Berg. Stefania Neonato, however, isn’t interested in participating in such aesthetic discussions. Instead, she drapes Dreaming with the sounds of her fortepiano, tempting her listeners to dream.

Neonato plays her own fortepiano, an original instrument constructed by Ignaz Josef Pleyel in 1853 and restored by Marco Barletta and Alberto Mattarozzi in 2009.
