Following Ravel and Berlioz, the Bruges‐based ensemble Anima Eterna continues its musical exploration of the French repertoire in this performance in Brussels.

This time the focus is on César Franck's monumental symphony, complemented by Dukas's well‐known L'apprenti sorcier (The Sorcerer's Apprentice). The baritone Thomas Bauer and the cellist Sergei Istomin join in this voyage to the Paris of yore.

Conductor Jos van Immerseel offers an interpretation that is both historically informed and musically convincing.
