城内圣保罗教堂 (Chiesa di S. Paolo entro le Mura)

城内圣保罗教堂是意大利统一后在罗马建造的第一座非天主教堂。教堂建于1873年至1880年间。这座英式教堂位于罗马Via Nazionale的Castro Pretorio区。教堂采用哥特式复兴风格建造，独特的外立面以交替的红色和石灰石砖为特色。教堂内部的最高荣耀是英国前拉斐尔派爱德华伯恩同琼斯以及威廉莫里斯合作的四幅壮观马赛克。细心的人们会在精心制作的马赛克画中发现几位著名的十九世纪人物、其中包括艺术家本人、著名的热心公益者及其家人、以及亚伯拉罕·林肯、朱塞佩·加里波第和格兰特将军和勇士队。这里举办了许多精彩的古典活动，包括《茶花女》等经典歌剧的表演。

    Très beau concert dans une église magnifique comme toutes celles de Rome. Attention pour l'adresse de l'église. Il faut aller à l'église San Paolo entro les murs. Quand on ne connaît pas encore bien Rome, on peut se perdre car il y a 2 églises San Paolo. 1 vers le métro pyramide et l'autre vers le métro république. Celle du concert est au métro république.

    I loved the music and everything was wonderful, the singers were very talented and the accompanying musicians were as well … The only minor drawbacks were the venue was a little warm, which didn’t bother me too much but I noticed a couple people leave halfway through. And the only other minor issue was the acoustics, at times it was hard to hear the singer over the instruments but overall I loved it!

    Performers 5/5: wonderful. The evening was however marred by the continual photographing / videoing / texting by several audience members whilst staff (who'd told us at the outset that such activities were strictly prohibited) stood idly by.
