This appealing program at Paris' beautiful Madeleine Church features Vivaldi's most beloved composition, 'The Four Seasons', as well as music by Purcell, Dvorák, and Johann Strauss.

Henry Purcell's opera, 'The Fairy Queen', was loosely based on Shakespeare's 'Midsummer Night's Dream'. The orchestral portions of this fanciful work come together in the Fairy Queen Suite.
