Tjeknavorian, St. Petersburg Philharmonic & Temirkanov: Dresden Music Festival

演出简介

The world‐famous Russia's oldest symphony orchestra, Philharmonic orchestra of St. Petersburg, under the baton of their chief conductor Yuri Temirkanov will perform Sibelius' only violin concerto, written in Järvenpää near Helsinki. Like the snow‐covered landscape there, the work is characterized by clear lines and structures that will be interpreted by the young aspiring violinist Emanuel Tjeknavorian. Russian soul life can be experienced with Tchaikovsky's Fantasia Overture, inspired by Berlioz's opera 'Romeo et Juliette' and Shostakovich's Sixth Symphony, in which, according to Leopold Stokowski, the composer 'emerges as a master,' without ceasing his creative imagination and musical self‐confidence further developed.
