Maria João Pires and her protégé Julien Brocal offer a wonderful evening of piano music in a program entirely dedicated to Robert Schumann.

Celebrated pianist, Maria João Pires is also a true pedagogue with a strong desire to share and pass on her mastery. During this concert, the two pianists explore the bitter‐sweet lyricism of Schumann's Three Romances, along with his Carnaval, before uncovering the dark secrets of the Waldszenen. The concert will end with the rarely heard Impromptus for four hands.
