Top clarinettist Joris Roelofs and Dutch best‐known jazz drummer Han Bennink have been successfully performing together for several years now. Everything is created on the stage — they never discuss or plan the performance in advance.

Roelofs explains: 'We play with melody, rhythm, dynamics and texture. We make combinations and alternations between subtle and coarse, pleasant and unpleasant. 'But the result always tastes like something special.'
