Hear one of Britain's great quartets, founded 35 years ago.

The Endellion Quartet takes its name from the music festival in the village of St. Endellion, Cornwall, where four string players first met and decided to found a quartet.

Today, they play an early Beethoven quartet, Smetana's first quartet ("From my life"), and finish with Schubert's famous "Death & the Maiden" quartet in D minor.
